The Dancing Tree se encuentra en las hermosas estribaciones de Sierra Nevada en el norte de California. Este lugar en particular, un lugar que el tiempo ha olvidado y su belleza y soledad me obligan a visitar aquà a menudo.
Aunque, a primera vista, no era más que un recordatorio del poderoso roble que una vez fue, claramente parecÃa haber algo más que familiar en ella. Rodeando su baúl, me detuve cuando me topé con esta vista en particular y de inmediato me golpeó. Allà delante de mà estaba Elaine Benes haciendo su divertido baile retorcido del episodio 138 de la comedia de televisión estadounidense Seinfeld, titulada "The Little Kicks".
¿No puedes escuchar la música sonando?
Hay siete imágenes en esta serie, pero se planearon varias más. Lamentablemente, The Dancing Tree alcanzó su destino final durante una gran tormenta de invierno a principios de 2019 y ya no está. Irónicamente, ese mismo dÃa tuve una experiencia cercana a la muerte cuando salÃa corriendo a verla para poder hacer "Rain Dance", que ahora ya no es posible ...
There are seven images in this series but several more had been planned. Sadly, 'The Dancing Tree' met her final fate during a severer winter storm in early 2019 and thus she is no more. Ironically in the midst of that storm and on that very same day, my vehicle was overtaken by a flash flood causing a near-death experience as I was rushing out to see her expecting to create "Rain Dance" which is now no longer possible.

I am however deeply grateful for the very many hours, both in daylight and in darkness, during which I was able to find profound pleasure simply by standing at her side, camera in hand, and waiting for the light.
